Beautiful sculptures in the cool shade. Also benches for sitting. And lots of clover. Who can find the four-leaf one?

Leiter Am Waal (Restaurant), Algund / Lagundo Nestled in the vineyards with endless views of the landscape between mountains and valleys. The Gasthaus Leiter am Waal in Algund has a rich history dating back to the early 13th century. It was built as an irrigation channel, known today as the picturesque Waalweg. The name "Leiter am Waal" refers to the tasks of the then construction supervisor, who was to oversee the construction and the use of the farmers' water rights. The history of the inn is thus closely linked to the development of the region and the construction methods. Text / Source: Gasthaus "Leiter am Waal" – Fam. Bauer srl, Loc.
