This route was planned by komoot.
Was a short but crisp hike. Always keep an eye on the weather here in the Alps, despite the weather forecast, we got caught in a thunderstorm. Good physical condition required Poles recommended.
I don't know if it's always Komot or the phone that tracks too little: were 12.45 km and 768 hm
We start our Merano High Trail (trail no. 24) at the Texelbahn cable car in Partschins. We climb to Giggelberg, then take a leisurely hike through the gorge of the 1,000 steps and across suspension bridges to the Pirchhof farm at 1,445 meters. The route is already punctuated with beautiful views, building anticipation for the days ahead. Our first overnight stop is a 700-year-old hereditary farm. The night in a four-bed room was very museum-like, or rather, rustic.
Tour went to the cable car Unterstell ..... over 1000 stepped gorge!
