The Romäusturm is part of the Villingen town wall and was originally a prison tower in which Romäus was imprisoned. He is also depicted in the picture on the tower. A small anecdote about him says that he was allegedly the Robin Hood of Villingen. He is also depicted as such during the Villingen carnival. He is said to have stolen a city gate from Rottweil at the time and then gifted it to the people of Villingen.

The German Phonomuseum presents a nearly complete history of the development of mechanical sound recording and reproduction from Edison's invention of the phonograph in 1877 to the present day. A small special exhibition showcases the "precursors" of phono technology with mechanical musical instruments (the flute clock, polyphonic, orchestrion, electric piano, etc.). A large section is devoted to the presentation of the domestic phono industry (DUAL and PE), whose products have been on display since 1911. Source: https://deutsches-phonomuseum.de/kurzer-einblick/
