The museum was created in 1972 as the private collections of 2 St. Georgen citizens. Gottlob Weißer (nicknamed "Der Grammophon - Weißer" and employed by PE (Perpetuum-Ebner) and Walter Grieshaber (employed by DUAL) were merged.
