The road between Jetrichovice and Rynartice has good asphalt. Coming from Jetrichovice, it climbs steeply in places, with a gradient of more than 14%.

Road between Hrensko and Vysoka Lipa, steadily uphill from the Elbe. Road with minor damage, but generally good driving.

The German-Czech border is accessible by bike and on foot. Cars are not permitted, so it's a very relaxed crossing.

The Elbe Cycle Path, which leads across the border, is a great ride. With some fantastic views.

Aside from the usual Czech market stalls, this is a nice little town with very affordable food and drink. Ferry crossing included with public transport/Germany tickets!

There's already a highlight that's no longer shown on the map. That's why I've added it again. Because I think the Hirschgrund is rideable again by road bike: Current 07/2025: I've ridden the Hirschgrund again. For the record, I only went downhill for now. I could see that a lot has changed in the meantime. I'll be riding uphill again soon. The condition is more or less okay again. There's only one spot almost at the very bottom that seems a bit unsafe. But it's wide enough. Shortly after, a wooden bridge was installed. The rest of the road is, in my opinion, rideable again by bike. The Hirschgrund suffered severe damage from heavy rain between July 17 and 18, 2021. Whether and when it will be rideable again is unclear. Older: Easy-to-ride road in a very beautiful and quiet valley along the stream from the Elbe Cycle Path to Reinhardtsdorf-Schöna. The road allows you to take a detour via Reinhardtsdorf-Schöna and from there continue to Kleingießhübel, or head back toward the Elbe via Krippen. It's particularly interesting as the climb is often in the double-digit range.
