Popular around El Pinar De El Hierro
This monument recalls a little-known historical curiosity: for centuries, many European maps placed the Zero Meridian on El Hierro, long before Greenwich became the world reference. The island was considered the westernmost edge of the known world, a remote place from which cartographers and navigators took references to measure distances and create maps. It is a brief stop, but with great significance. Few places can say that, for a time, they were the point from which the world began on maps.

A beautiful, independent destination with great views. It just shouldn't be too stormy.

Beautifully designed viewing point at the end of the pier, representing the southernmost point of Europe or the EU, the Canary Islands actually belong to Africa ;-)... Nice view of the port and the promenade.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgGVhVXLqBw In the shape of an amphitheater, the Las Playas viewpoint is a balcony overlooking a surprising landscape. It is north of the island of El Hierro and 20 minutes driving from Valverde. In front, the sea, where you can see a jagged and virgin bay with beaches bathed by the furious Atlantic. A spectacle protected within the island's UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The rock of La Bonanza from above At a viewpoint there is all the time in the world to discover every corner of the landscape. From the Las Playas viewpoint you have to look closely to glimpse the Parador de Turismo of El Hierro and the majestic rock of La Bonanza in the distance, sometimes you can even see Tenerife and La Gomera. If it is foggy when you arrive, it is best to wait for the sky to clear. After marveling at the panoramic views, it is best to go to San Andrés to taste the gastronomy of El Hierro.

The 400 meters of volcanic tube are traversed without major complications. At the beginning, there is an area that flattens a little and everything seems to indicate that the cave ends there. But no, it's a false alarm. Further ahead, the path continues.

It is in very bad condition, the wood is rotten. Built from pine logs on an asphalt base. The viewpoint rises on a small hill located southwest of the town, the views are stupendous and the sunrises from here are wonderful, it's a shame that the views on the south side are clouded by the telephone antennas installed there. A year ago it was completely restored, the danger no longer exists. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zIOg7zqsXM
