The landscape along the Kerkdreef is protected. First of all, there are the countless pollard oaks. Some specimens are said to be almost 4 centuries old. The Kasselrijbeek was boxed in the 1980s. It runs under the footpath along the Kerkdreef. You can still see the stream between the railway embankment and the Kerkdreef. In winter, the Old Castle of Vichte, from the Kerkdreef, can be seen between the trees.
