There is a really beautiful view here at the restaurant. If you want to have a different view, follow the path a little further into the forest. There are also beautiful views there, e.g. also to Rauenstein Castle

On paths that have not been used for a long time, the route climbs steeply over the High Thuringian Slate Mountains. Narrow streams wind their way through the mountain forest. You will explore historic kiln sites, abandoned ore mines, mountain meadows and fresh springs. Like the factory owners once did (workers in what was then the largest factory in the Duchy), we walk between the glass city of Lauscha and Rauenstein.
