In the village of Düssel, the only place for hikers to stop for refreshments was the "Kutscherstuben" (coachman's room), but since summer 2025, this lovingly designed and run café has opened, and we can wholeheartedly recommend it. You can sit comfortably inside, or there are shady seats outside. It's best to reserve a table on weekends! More information: https://www.cafeherzundbohne.de

A very good farm shop with lots of very good food and drink options to eat on site or to take away. Honest, tasty, great! I particularly recommend the forest honey from the hardworking beehive inhabitants of a friendly and competent beekeeper, owner of the "Aprather Mühle" farm shop.

The former moated castle was a medieval knight's seat. The moat has been drained but is characteristic of a moated castle. Great property
