After a short climb along a narrow path, you'll reach the Riethel Cross, erected above the village of Volkesfeld. A magnificent panoramic view awaits you. Behind you, Volkesfeld nestles against the hillside, and in front of you stretch the ridges of the Volcanic Eifel region. In the valley below lies the Rieden forest lake with a small holiday home complex. From the wooden lounger, you have a fantastic view of the Nette Valley. There's also a picnic bench.

I think this little piece of heathland is a delight in every season.
