In 2020, the Tegernsee-based Springwater Group bought the old Sachranger Hof at the entrance to the town; the price is undisclosed. 🤬 "We want to advance Bavarian tourism," says Jürgen Böhmler, one of the two managing partners. His concept: renovate hotels in need of renovation and adapt them to modern standards. In Schliersee, they are currently converting the old Hotel Reiter into apartments. In Reit im Winkl, they have remodeled a hotel, where business is already running smoothly – according to their own statements. "We had similar ideas for Sachrang," says Böhmler. Because the former hotel was contaminated with asbestos, they planned a new building. Stuffer, head of the building authority, vividly remembers the information event in July 2021 when the plans for the "Logenplatz Sachrang" (Sachrang Lodge) were presented. "There was applause," he says. Finally, a hotel, a bit of momentum. But then the Springwater promotional video appeared, accompanied by euphoric music.

A very beautiful wooden structure, completed in 2004 as a normal open bridge. During the use of the bridge, which is just over 50 meters wide, it was discovered that the structure could be damaged over time by environmental influences, so in 2022 it was decided to provide the bridge with a roof and thus continue its use as a covered bridge.
