We need more of these highlights 👍 Once all the bumps have been recorded, we should work together to map all the molehills. With a bit of luck, we'll be able to completely fill the Komoot map with rubbish by the end of 2026 🙌

Egmating is first mentioned in the 11th century. Since 1449, the castle and its predecessor buildings had been owned by the Munich council family of the Schrencks. In later centuries it was owned by the Barons Schrenck von Notzing and Egmating, the Barons von Horn, the Count Arco auf Zinneberg and the Barons von Büsing-Orville.[1] The former Hofmarksschloss was later used as a brewery. On the night of August 20th to 21st, 1911, the economic buildings of the Egmating Castle Brewery, owned by Adolf Freiherr von Büsing-Orville, burned down. In order to secure and increase sales of the brewery, which was rebuilt at great financial expense, he bought up surrounding inns such as Berganger, Schönau, Moosach (old innkeeper), Wildenholzen (Kellerwirt), Bruck, Glonn (post innkeeper) and Schützenstätte. However, the brewery was sold to the Paulaner-Thomas Brewery in Munich in 1927. The current main building dates from the 17th century, while the brewery and farm buildings date from the first half of the 19th century. The castle now houses condominiums, the clubhouse of the Schloss Egmating golf course and a castle restaurant. Source and further information https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schloss_Egmating

The Lourdes Grotto is the name given to Marian Grottoes, which are replicas of the Grotto of Massabielle near Lourdes in southern France and Our Lady of Lourdes. In 1858, Saint Bernadette said she saw Our Lady in this grotto. At the site of the Marian apparitions, a Madonna figure adorns the grotto, the original of which Joseph-Hugues Fabisch created for Massabielle in 1864 based on Bernadette's information.
