A bit...unexciting 😇 But it's nice to watch the Hunte transform from a muddy trickle in the forest into an idyllic river.

A must for the unofficial Hunte cycle route to Dümmer, but only accessible for very robust bikes (no heavy e-bikes). Mud-proof footwear required!

From Melle, a challenging climb over asphalted side roads, the last route to the spring is along a forest path. Doable with a touring bike, but technically demanding with a lot of luggage. After a lot of rain, the route is also very muddy. Not much to see at the spring - but for us, the spring is part of a river cycle path.
