Mostly fine gravel trail with limited road crossings heading up to and beyond the PA state line. Very popular on the weekends and mostly shaded by overhead trees. Multiple places on the trail will provide access to water and bathrooms.

Here the trail runs down to a parking lot and trailhead just across the road from the dam. From the road you get good views of Loch Raven Dam, and there is a small overlook on the north side designated by a signpost.

This is a truly beautiful spot where you can access the water from the beneath the shelter of well-spaced towering pines. There is ample roadside parking and easy access between the Morgan Mill trail system and the park.
