"In the Bergisches Land lies Burg Castle, up on the mountain with a panoramic view. The cable car leads up from the Wupper valley. Burg Castle is one of the most beautiful landmarks in the Bergisches Land. Here you can take exciting castle tours (with and without a scary factor) and see knights' armor. Tip: The "Bergische Kaffeetafel" is a sumptuous meal, typical for the region and is offered in many cafes around Burg Castle: This usually includes raisin bread, black bread, honey, sugar beet syrup, sweet rice pudding and quark. Depending on tradition, cakes, waffles or Bergisch rusks are also served. The coffee used to be served in a "Dröppelmina" - a large pewter jug with a tap.
