Friendly staff, good food, just a very nice place to rest after a ride. Includes a splash in the lake or sauna inhouse. Staying a night or two makes totally sense since Nordmarka is an endless gravel paradise

The lake is part of the Slattumsrøa Nature Reserve, with inflow from Lusevasan in the north and outflow to Steinbruvannet in the south. A lit trail runs along the eastern side, providing easy access from Skytta in the north and Steinbruvannet and Grorud in the south.

This is not Dødarbakken, but Kikutstua. Nice place for a waffel and a short break.

This peaceful woodland rest area features a simple shelter, a fire ring, and informative signs about local wildlife, including roe deer, common in this part of Norway. Kids and nature lovers will enjoy learning about how these shy animals live and survive through the harsh Nordic winters. A great stop for both a break and a bit of forest education.
