From Gioi Cilento a steep mountain road leads near Serra Amignosa 954 m, a height that is part of the "Montagna di Serra", an area characterized by woods of Downy Oak, Black Alder, and high-altitude meadows. The road first passes by Lake Lavinia, which is more of a small body of water surrounded by dense Mediterranean vegetation than a lake.
