You will find Házmburk Castle in the Libochovice region, in the Dolnooharské tabule – Klapské tabule area. You will also encounter other names in connection with Házmburk Castle. It is called Hazmburk, Klapý, Hanžburek, Zaječí hrad, Zajícův hrad or Hasenburg. The ruins of the medieval castle stand on a basalt hill at an altitude of 418 m. Even from a distance, you will be attracted by two massive towers – Černá and Bílá. The Bílá tower is currently adapted for tourists as a lookout tower. From the height you will have a nice view of the České středohoří Mountains, Milešovka, Sedlo, Dlouhý vrch, Radobýl, Kletečná, Říp mountain or Lovoš. Simply put, no matter which direction you look, you will discover something interesting to observe. The legend tells of a trapped Hazmburk sleigh in the castle cellar under the Bílá věží. The castle also hides the remains of a third tower. Its ruins are hidden in the thicket and it has not yet been possible to explain why it was built. Házmburk Castle stands near the village of Klapý and was the seat of the Zajíc family. In the next period of the castle's history, several owners took turns here, including the Lobkowiczs, Šternberks, Dietrichštejns, and Hebersteins.

Here you can enjoy a coffee after the castle hike. We particularly recommend the homemade lemon-thyme lemonade and the homemade cheesecakes in delicious varieties from blueberry to strawberry jam and lotus caramel... There are also savory dishes, fresh salad and sandwiches. The service is very nice and friendly, and you can pay by card if you don't have any crowns with you. Monday is the day off, however.

The Renaissance castle Budyně nad Ohří is a pearl of historical buildings in the Bohemian Central Highlands. In the past it used to be a water castle and today, among other things, it houses a museum with an alchemy workshop.

You want to go to a place you don't know on vacation or a weekend and see a historical monument. Then head to the ruins of Hazmburk Castle. If you are driving, you can park at the foot of the hill in the visitor parking lot. Attention, there are parking meters. The ruins of the castle are located on a hill, once an extinct volcano, above the village itself. There are several ways you can go to the monument. A longer path with a slight ascent, or faster but steeper. At the ruins, see the remaining torso of the walls, the castle and climb the tower, from which you can see the whole area. If the weather is favorable, you will see the middle mountains with the highest mountain, Milešovka
