The Sint-Lambertuskerk is the parish church of the town of Eikevliet, part of the Antwerp municipality of Bornem, located on the Richard Caluwaertsstraat. It is an oriented hall church with a built-in tower in late Gothic style that dates from around 1500. This tower has four sections and is made of brick with sandstone bacon layers. The bays next to the tower are from 1836. The nave of the church is built in a classicist style.

This path is not that hidden (it is even on a junction route), but if adding 'hidden' in the title was to make hikers curious and entice them to walk along it, then I have already succeeded... and I can also invite other walkers. After all, it is a beautiful and quiet path.

Lambertus rings the bells here, in the tower that is not the highest, but therefore unique and beautiful, centrally located in the center......

On an old Ferraris map from 1775 you will find a large pool, which was located on the edge of the protected landscape Het Moer and opposite the listed Koolputhoeve. This pool served as a watering hole and possibly a washing place for horses until the first half of the 20th century. This place was popularly called the "peerdeput". However, nothing could be seen of the well until 2020 when the municipality of Bornem and the Scheldt-Durme Regional Landscape joined forces to restore the horse well and the adjacent dike with a row of trees. The municipality of Bornem has placed a bench and information board at the pedeput. (HLN)

The region is characterized by two distinct natural features: Het Moer, a low-lying, humid forest and marshland rich in diverse flora and fauna, and De Grote Kouter, an open, drier agricultural area. The area is crisscrossed by waterways, including the Vliet river, adding to its natural charm.
