Quiet climb to a wonderful hut. The path to the Kalser Tauernhaus is wide and easy to walk. The landscape is wonderful with many impressive views. The offer is typically regional with very tasty Kaiserschmarrn at fair prices. You have to remember that the host has to bring everything to the hut, ensure that it is managed in an environmentally friendly way and, above all, take the weather as it comes. I had excellent service from all the staff in a place in the sun and with a great view.

Subterranean! The chance of being served at all is probably 50/50. Unfortunately, today it was zero. We were "allowed" to be ignored by the landlord for more than half an hour. No chance. We sat directly in his line of sight. And that with the house empty and the outdoor area about 1/3 full. What does he do in the season? They must be living it up a bit too well. We don't need that! There are plenty of other nice and delicious inns here. But such an unfriendly troll is a real shame for the otherwise friendly holiday region.

For me, Rudolfshütte is pretty unique, at least here in the Hohe Tauern region. The hotel is located at around 2,300 meters altitude. So you not only have a guarantee of snow, but also a great starry sky on clear nights and a wonderful view of the glacier. And all this with full hotel service and sauna. Since the ski area hasn't really been developed, there are more mountain athletes up here than ski tourists and that's a great combination.

Great hut, friendly and very nice hosts. We stayed here overnight on our Iseltrail hike. Top and really rustic, with singing together with guitar accompaniment after dinner.
