Beautiful via ferrata with a breathtaking view of the Weißsee 👌. The ascent is certainly more pleasant. We chose the other direction. The passage over the dam was closed, so we had to take the path behind it with a descent and ascent.

A good place to undertake beautiful tours. The local gastronomy is unfortunately mediocre.

For me, Rudolfshütte is pretty unique, at least here in the Hohe Tauern region. The hotel is located at around 2,300 meters altitude. So you not only have a guarantee of snow, but also a great starry sky on clear nights and a wonderful view of the glacier. And all this with full hotel service and sauna. Since the ski area hasn't really been developed, there are more mountain athletes up here than ski tourists and that's a great combination.

For me personally one of the most beautiful places I have visited. Great views and a wonderfully situated lake. This is the second time I've been there and I'll be back.

From this spot, you have breath-taking views of some high peaks in the area, a beautiful glacier and ofcourse the Weißsee itself. It's great to scan the glacier and surrounding peaks with binoculars, because there is a good chance to spot people doing a glacier-tour or climbing to a peak.

From here you have a great view into the valley and on the other side on some beautiful mountain peaks. And on the side there a sneak preview of the Tauernmoossee.
