Promenade des Anglais

Highlight • Cycleway

It is at the beginning of the 19th century that the British craze for the Maritime Alps city experienced a real boom. It was primarily the English aristocrats who came to spend their holidays in Nice, before this practice gradually became democratized. This is the origin of the name of this famous Nice promenade.

The best view one can have of this magnificent bay that made Nice so popular is by climbing onto the corniche just after "Vieux Nice".

Castle Waterfall

Highlight • Waterfall

A must see when visiting Nice, however a word of warning, it's not always turned on, presumably for cleaning.

We visited during the hottest part of the day, so allowing the spray from the waterfall to hit us was incredibly refreshing. The views from the top are spectacular too, we must have spent an hour and a half just admiring the views out over Nice.
