No sunshine was forecast this Sunday, but it should at least stay dry. So we cycled south along the Etsch until we left Gargazzone train station. From there it is only a short distance to the Raffeiner Orchid World.

First we went on a small city tour in Meran. Then we went along the Adige to eat at the Italian restaurant at the gondola valley station in Vilpian. We finally drove back to Lana through apple orchards. A very comfortable, nice round.

Today, we took it a little easier. A relaxed bike ride to Merano and from there a chairlift ride to Tirolo. After a leisurely stroll and a cappuccino, we returned to the bike and headed home.

After the great route in Bozen, the journey to Meran and through Meran was very moderate. We still had a nice stay thanks to the flowers on the beautifully landscaped promenade on the Passeier and, of course, to the good espresso and delicious ice cream.
