Follow the trail past the Zen center (crossing the river without bridges three times) for half a mile to the dramatic tightening canyon endimg the trail. All along enjoy free public access to some spectacular pools of clean mountain water shaped by the river that in the day already attracted famous hippie era singer/songwriters.
