The marina of Nieuwpoort is impressive in several respects: the number of ships anchored and moored here is high. Almost every type of ship, one might almost think, is available; the variety is very large. In addition, a promenade for walkers stretches along one side. Very nice.

Cycling
One of the largest marinas in Europe can be found in Nieuwpoort. Two thousand pleasure boats provide an impressive view from the walking and cycling promenade. The old town with its medieval architecture is also definitely worth a visit. Due to its strategic location at the mouth of the Yser, Nieuwpoort has been destroyed several times throughout history, but has always been rebuilt.
