Hiking

The modern sofa flanks a listed hawthorn tree that has been woven around the so-called 'Murderer's Cross' for decades. The iron 'murderer's cross' was erected at the intersection of the Hoegaardsesteenweg and the Moordenaarsweg at the place where those sentenced to death used to be extradited to the judicial authorities of Tienen. Nothing can be seen of the iron cross, or maybe if you look very closely?

Past the bench and hawthorn tree, a large section of cobblestone path has just been filled in. I suspect this will eventually be included on maps as accessible for walkers and cyclists.
