Late medieval facility around 1750 for the execution of lower court sentences.
In 1997, the city of Jever had a replica of the Wüppgalgen built next to the bridge over the Blankgraft. The gallows are intended to be a reminder of the medieval court system. Here, minor offenses were punished by immersing the accused in the Graft and thus exposing them to the fun and ridicule of the population.

An eye-catcher on the Blankgraft is the replica of a tipping gallows. It was used as punishment for minor offenses up until the 18th century: convicted criminals were locked in the cage and briefly dipped into the water several times - to deter and probably also amuse the surrounding population.
