This is a property development settlement built by the Wüstenrot company between 1935 and 1937. The settlement was supported by the citizens of Vienna with affordable plots of land and was part of the so-called black Vienna, which refers to construction activity in the Ständestaat period. The settlement is located at the foot of the Bierhäuselberg, which derives its name from the extensive beer cellars of the Hütteldorf brewery. The Bierhäuselberg offers a beautiful view over the city of Vienna and the surrounding mountains.
