Cycling

The Gothic core of the town hall was built in 1347 and redesigned in late baroque style in 1789/90. In 1971 the stepped gable and the Gothic brick portal were removed, and the facade was redesigned in the classical style. The arcade was built in 1932.
A bronze relief on the south facade commemorates the composer Friedrich Kuhlau, who was born in Uelzen in 1786 and died in 1832 as a Danish court composer. Inside carved city coat of arms from 1591.
