This splendid church set in a valley is one of the many traces of the Orient that can be found in Cilento. The cult of St. Nicholas of Bari (or of Myra), in fact, originates in Turkey and then expanded to various parts of Europe. The bare interior of the church can only be visited on certain days of the year. It can be reached with a steep descent from the village of Galdo, to go up it may be necessary to push the bike on foot, but it is certainly worth the effort.
