Hiking

Almost like an archaic temple, the sculpture "Stone-Time-Human" by the artist Nils-Udo appears: In the middle of the forest lies a huge rock cube, which is framed by a monumental tree trunk architecture. The quartzite monolith weighs nearly 150 t and, integrated into the quiet majesty of the forest, forms a monument and memorial of its own: its size, its timeless attachment to the earth and its uniqueness. Exposed to this powerful unity, the wanderer experiences his own temporality and vulnerability.

The monument of a huge rock. A 150-ton quartzite framed by monumental tree trunk architecture. Gigantic!

Hiking

The Wnaderer will find quite imposing sculptures on the forest sculpture trail. The path leads hikers between Bad Berleburg and Schmallenberg for almost 25 km through the beautiful Sauerland.
