Mountaineering
The Kaiser Franz-Josef-Höhe is located at 2369m altitude and can be reached via the toll road Grossglockner High Alpine Road. It is the most famous vantage point to see the highest mountain in Austria, the Grossglockner. The Kaiser Franz-Josef-Höhe is also the starting point for numerous hikes in the Glockner group.

If you are traveling very early in the morning, you can watch ibex at the Gamsgrubenweg.

Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe - Great road to get here and an interesting place. Here you can clearly see the traces of global warming on the basis of the hardly existing glacier.
