The Cabezo de la Fuente Loop Trail invites you to explore the diverse landscapes of Calblanque Regional Park, with a route that will surprise you at every turn. You'll hike through Mediterranean scrubland and old cultivated areas, ascending slopes dotted with dwarf palms. The views from Cabezo de la Fuente are the highlight, offering breathtaking panoramas of the Murcian coast and the Mediterranean Sea, contrasting with golden sandy beaches. The terrain is varied, with some easy sections and others more demanding, including rocky and sandy ascents and descents that require good footing.

This moderately difficult hiking trail is 12.1 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 261 meters, and will take approximately 3 hours and 27 minutes to complete. It's crucial to wear sturdy hiking boots with good grip, especially for the steeper sections and loose terrain. We recommend starting your hike early in the morning, particularly during warmer months, and carrying plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the journey.

Beyond its landscapes, the trail offers a fascinating geological journey, passing points such as the La Jordana phyllite quarry and Fuente Grande, a natural spring. You'll also encounter historical elements, like the Galería de Búsqueda, an old mining shaft, and pass by traditional farmhouses. This combination of nature, geology, and history makes the Cabezo de la Fuente Loop Trail an enriching experience and one of the most interesting routes in the region.
