The Krepe-Cross in Angern takes place annually on May 1st. The running group of SV Angern has been organizing the running event since 2005. The Krepe-Cross is a scoring run of the Elbe-Ohre-Cup, and so @Oli and I were drawn to Angern for the second time. Krepe is the name for the forest area or the local designation through which the running route leads, and it is a cross-country run. The routes are excellently prepared. Roots and stones are marked in signal colors. We love it here! The run is embedded in the SV Angern's sports day, the cake and bratwurst are super delicious, everything is very familiar and warm, and so personal bests are achieved. 👑

Check the map carefully beforehand. The bike path signage is slightly misleading. Cycle at your own risk (signs apply), but it's completely easy once you've found your way. Barriers are easy to bypass.

At a good 40 meters above sea level and directly on the banks of the Elbe River, a high medieval residential tower, the Klutturm, stands, and right next to it a neo-Gothic castle. These are the remains of the former castle complex and later the Rogätz manor.
