The Krepe-Cross in Angern takes place annually on May 1st. The running group of SV Angern has been organizing the running event since 2005. The Krepe-Cross is a scoring run of the Elbe-Ohre-Cup, and so @Oli and I were drawn to Angern for the second time. Krepe is the name for the forest area or the local designation through which the running route leads, and it is a cross-country run. The routes are excellently prepared. Roots and stones are marked in signal colors. We love it here! The run is embedded in the SV Angern's sports day, the cake and bratwurst are super delicious, everything is very familiar and warm, and so personal bests are achieved. 👑

The well-preserved manor house was built in 1802/03. Interesting detail: There were originally two coats of arms at the courtyard entrance, left and right. After an inheritance dispute, the Schulenburg coat of arms on the left was removed and only the coat of arms of Helene von Arnstedt, the third wife of the builder of the castle, remained on the right. The estate is run by an association in a very warm and loving way. In this place, cyclists can get accommodation for just one day, either with breakfast in the manor house, or you can eat in the existing kitchen. There are also holiday apartments and since the manor house is an outpost of the registry office, you can also get married and celebrate there. There is a petting zoo and also a courtyard and fruit garden. All in all, very lovingly furnished and also in such a way that you can relax, regardless of whether you are staying for a short or long time.
