A nice stony path, but you sometimes have to watch where you are walking because the stones are not all level.

Krkonoše National Park (Czech: Krkonošský národní park, abbreviated as KRNAP) is a national park in the Liberec and Hradec Králové Regions of the Czech Republic. It covers most of the Krkonoše Mountains (Czech: Krkonoše), the country's highest point. The park is also on the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve list. It borders the Karkonosze National Park in Poland. The highest mountain in Krkonoše is Sněžka at 1,603 m (5,259 ft), which is also the highest mountain in all of the Czech Republic. The nature of the Krkonoše Mountains is very diverse - the geological substrate, its dynamic development in the past, the influence of the cold climate and subsequent warming have led to the formation of diverse biotopes and the preservation of rare species of plants and animals for our nature. There are about 300 species of vertebrates and more than 1200 species of vascular plants and many times more spore-bearing plants (such as mosses, slime molds, ferns, and lichens).

Hruboskalsko is a nature reserve declared on April 22, 1998. With an area of 219.2 ha, it is among the largest rock towns in the Protected Landscape Area Český ráj. The reason for protection is an extensive rock town with preserved relic pine forests. The Hruboskalsko rock town includes hundreds of rock massifs and independent towers, reaching heights of up to 60 m. Due to the low resistance of sandstone and the constant effect of various influences, the rocks are rich in the most diverse shapes and forms (honeycombs, windows, gates).

The name Český ráj originally designated the Litoměřice region (today called the Garden of Bohemia), inhabited by German-speaking population. The current definition originated in the second half of the 19th century. Spa guests visiting the Sedmihorky spa are often cited as its authors, but the first documented use comes from editor Václav Durych from 1886.
