Verdion hands over new bicycle factory in Emstek to Derby Cycle Verdion GmbH has handed over the 32,230 m² new bicycle factory in Emstek near Cloppenburg to Derby Cycle Werke GmbH. One of Germany's largest e-bike and bicycle manufacturers is thus expanding its presence at the site and will produce up to 400,000 Kalkhoff brand bikes there per year in the future. The property on Europa-Allee was developed in close cooperation with the Derby Cycle team and offers 26,500 m² of high-tech production and storage space, 5,730 m² of office and common space and 510 parking spaces on the 63,000 m² site in the ecopark, an intercommunal commercial and industrial park. The new building also houses the new Kalkhoff brand experience world, where both employees and visitors can try out new bicycle models on the in-house test track. The property on Europa-Allee was handed over as planned after 15 months of construction.
