While there are a couple of long benches (with lovely views!) dotted around the reservoir, if you're planning on a food stop here (especially as part of a group), there are also some picnic benches near the car park (still more or less beside the reservoir, though not quite as close as the benches).

If you go down to the sunken garden between Sextons and the flower shop, you'll see the force of the water from the lower dam into Slitten Brook, and it flows into the Bridgewater canal

Open 24 hours a day with a variety of Picnic benches, outstanding water features, wildlife and heritage. The route links to the Trans Pennine Trail and there is a free public carpark if spaces are limited in Lymm village centre.
