Convenient, protected connection. Interesting views of the railway bridge and old factories, now, I fear, abandoned to their fate.

East Bank of the Ticino - The Paladella dam was built after 1250, located in Tornavento, it marked the origin of the Naviglio Grande and was made of immersed granite slabs that divided the Ticino river into two branches, separating its waters. Originally, it was a palisade that deteriorated with each flood of the river. The main part of the dam, called "spur", juts out into the river for 280 meters using granite blocks, dividing the waters and creating the main channel of the Naviglio. A part of the water, called "mouth of Pavia", was left free to allow navigation towards Pavia and allow the development of the economies of the surrounding territories.
