The bridge had to withstand many wars and could repeatedly expand its charm. From the south side, the play of colours of the buildings on the opposite bank and the natural spectacle of the Natisone river flowing below are particularly worth seeing. Furthermore, a visit to the districts to the right and left of the bridge is also worthwhile – truly worth seeing. The medieval house is known as the “oldest house in Cividale” or “goldsmith’s house” or “Casa del Mille”. In fact, this building, dated mid-second half of the 14th century, was supposed to house a goldsmith’s workshop.
