St. Ulrich's Church in Grasbrunn was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648). The parish records of Hohenbrunn indicate that St. Ulrich's Church in Grasbrunn was a branch church with the privilege of owning a cemetery, and that its reconstruction took many years. The foundations of the burned-out ruins suggest that the predecessor church was built around the 12th century. It wasn't until 1680 that the church, built on the foundations of the previous structure, was completed with its Baroque furnishings. The church also burned down in a village fire in 1834, but it was rebuilt largely through the community's own labor and the use of church tithes.
