Overall, the area is not very inviting. If you really want to see cruise ships, you've come to the right place. Otherwise, to put it mildly, it's not a particularly charming area. PS: the vast majority of the pictures have nothing to do with the cruise terminal and show areas that are sometimes many kilometers away.

Sea Horse Walking along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, just before arriving at Porta Felice, there is this small square dominated in the center by a fountain with the statue of the Cavallo Marino. This work of art was previously in the Ajutamicristo palace and only in 1864 it was moved to the place where it is today. It is the work of the Palermitan sculptor Ignazio Marabitti and was commissioned by the prince of Paternò. It represents a white marble horse that emerges from some rocks and which, together with the two little angels placed at its side, leans towards the fountain. The view of the fountain is very suggestive in the evening, when it is illuminated. Source: minube.it

Palermo alone is worth the trip. Then doing a small day tour in these areas is fantastic.

Fontana del Cavallo Marino is located in Piazzetta Santo Spirito, on the site of the former Church of San Nicolò dei Latini, which, along with the surrounding buildings, was destroyed in the 1823 earthquake.

The promenade along the harbor is the perfect place to walk or run, especially in the early hours of the day, just after sunrise, when peace and tranquility still reign.

Great place for jogging. The port is adjacent to the Parco della Salute, which is also part of the sport.
