Only a section of the path is still a path, and it's still beautiful… unfortunately, the loggers have plowed through there with their machines! The remaining section, however, is still pleasant to walk on, at least for now.

The Rodalben Tourist Association dedicated this beautiful shelter "in memory and gratitude" to the popular local priest and dean Martin Ehling (May 30, 1956 - May 17, 2014), who died suddenly and unexpectedly shortly before his 58th birthday. An information board describes the various stages of his (spiritual) work.
