Nice route along the lake, the Biergarten of the brewery by the lake is also highly recommended for a Radler break (in every sense of the word).

The Roman Catholic church is dedicated to St. Gangolf and is located between Besseringen and Mettlach. It was formerly a Capuchin monastery church. The church is considered a historic monument.

From here, you can get your first glimpse of the Saarschleife Treetop Walk. The route becomes increasingly beautiful from here, with a new highlight around every bend. A detour to the Treetop Walk is worthwhile. More information: https://www.urlaub.saarland/attraktion/baumwipfelpfad-saarschleife-9f12883469 https://treetop-walks.com/saarschleife/

I couldn't find the other two breweries; signs were missing here and there. The Saar ferry at the Saar Loop was fantastic. High praise. I was initially disappointed. It was just a main road all the way to Merzig. From Merzig, there was a bike path and back, and back, and back. The tour was over too quickly for 50 km in 3 hours.
