Urban hiking trails in Towra Point Aquatic Reserve (Sanctuary) are primarily found in the adjacent areas, as much of the Nature Reserve itself has restricted public access. The region is characterized by diverse wetland ecosystems, including extensive mangrove forests, saltmarshes, and mudflats, which are internationally recognized for their ecological importance. While direct access to many parts of the reserve is limited, nearby urban areas offer walking routes that provide views of the coastline and surrounding natural features. The landscape features flat terrain, making it suitable for accessible urban walks.
