A sturdy wooden gazebo provides respite from the sun on a hot day or shelter in the event of a downpour. A concrete circle is located nearby, ready to be used as a campfire surround. The area is accessible 24 hours a day, with a curfew. The gym is located on a fine gravel surface, cushioning the impact of a fall and preventing mud and vegetation from growing. WW

The Monument to the Unknown Confederate in Zagórze commemorates the last battle of the Bar Confederation of 1768-1772, which took place on the outskirts of the city on the Osława River. Efforts to erect the pedestal took nearly two years. The Confederates' fight for our homeland's independence—the first Polish uprising against the partitioning powers—lasted four years, and the last battle, fought three months after the first partition of Poland, took place on November 29, 1772, in the fields surrounding Zagórz, still known today as "Pułaski's Trenches." The monument stands in front of the Zagórz train station. It commemorates the numerous visits of the future Pope – John Paul II to Zagórz. During the communist era (1944-1989), rail transport was the basis of passenger traffic in Poland and Zagórz was the final station for long-distance trains from Warsaw, Krakow and Katowice. Most trains went through Jasło, Krosno and Sanok, but there was also a train going from Przemyśl on a short extraterritorial section (through the USSR) to Krościenko and then through Ustrzyki Dolne, i.e. it reached Zagórz from the east.
