I am a real hiker and have often walked the yellow route from the Volmolen. It is a beautiful route, but the paths in the forest area really need maintenance now. In a few more weeks and you won't be able to get through anymore.

In NL, cycling is simply fun because of the excellent ground surface and the general 'cyclist nature'.

The Genneper Watermill is one of the oldest and most characteristic mills in Eindhoven. The mill was mentioned as early as 1249 and stands along the Dommel River in the green Genneper Parken. After being destroyed during the Eighty Years' War, it was rebuilt in 1587. For centuries, grain was ground here, oil was pressed, and wool was felted. The mill is best known because Vincent van Gogh painted it several times during his stay in Nuenen. Today, the mill still operates with a single waterwheel and is a national monument. On certain days, you can visit the inside and buy organic flour in the small mill shop. A historic and photogenic spot surrounded by nature, the perfect resting place during a walk through the Genneper Parken.

It's just along the Wilhelmona Canal. There's really not much to it in itself; you're better off cycling into Orischot, which is much more fun.

If the road surface had been better this would have been a great path, but unfortunately I don't use it very often now because of the bumpy surface.
