You have the opportunity to enjoy a good swim here! In the cold water of the Taravo river, but also in hot water baths. Climbing the stairs directly in front of you gives you access to both the river and the hot springs. The village is called Les Bains. Surprised ?

This road is wide and recently asphalted. However, the road from the other side (Vero) is the opposite which makes this side better for the descent. Among the way you'll pass needle-trees, a small bar, a (hidden) drinkable water fountain and wild animals varying from pigs, cows and goats. Make sure to bring enough water on a hot day since this area is remote and thinly populated, however most small villages (Salice, Ambiegna - all year round) have a drinkable water fountain and a small place where you can order a nice cold bevarage, espacially in summer. Be aware of the coriscan driving style when descending they will cut corners like most of us cyclists.
