Nice campsite, the pitches are a bit small and the passages narrow but that's normal in Liguria. It seems quite shady, it is well maintained and clean. As already mentioned, it has a super location, it is very close to the center of Levanto and the sea and 1 km from the station. Too bad about the price, in November €45 for two people and electricity. Perhaps the only one open so late in the season.

Levanto Castle was a defensive building located between Salita San Giorgio and Salita al Castello in the southern part of the historic center of Levanto, in the province of La Spezia. The site is part of the town's ancient walls. HISTORY: According to some historical sources, the existence of a defensive building in the then Levanto village was documented and confirmed as early as 1165, during the Malaspina rule in the area. Around the 13th century, a document attests to its presence under the name "Castello di Monale." The current building, however, dates back to the rule of the Republic of Genoa, and therefore to the second half of the 16th century[1], perhaps a reconstruction from scratch on the site of the pre-existing medieval castle; the reconstruction of the town's old walls is documented. With the creation of the Captaincy of Levanto in 1637, it served as the temporary seat of the Captain and, subsequently, as a prison until the fall of the Genoese Republic under Napoleonic rule in 1797. In the second half of the 19th century, it was sold to the state and, after conservative restoration between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, it remains privately owned today. Along this stretch, the coastal road offers a splendid view of Corniglia, perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea. It is the only village in the Cinque Terre without a port, and its isolated location makes it particularly charming. The coastal road leading to Corniglia in this area is scenic and winding, with glimpses of both the open sea and the terraced vineyards typical of these coasts.
