Ramolhaus

Highlight • Mountain Hut

A four-hour hike, some of which includes climbing passages, takes you to the 3,006 meters of the Ramolhaus. The situation is similar with the surrounding three-thousanders, which you can easily hike to from here. Mountain experience and sure-footedness should also be in your hiking backpack.

Langtalereckhütte (Karlsruhe Hut)

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The Langtalereck hut (Karlsruher hut) is located at 2,480 meters altitude, was built in 1929/30 and extended in 1986. It is an ideal destination for day trips from Obergurgl and base for longer tours.

There are also high and ski tours possible from here. Who has chosen the hut as a (stage) destination, will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the landscape formed by glaciers. The approximately two hours away, even closer to the glacier lying Hochwildehaus has become unstable because of the increasing warming of the soil (keyword permafrost) and unfortunately closed. If you continue walking in this direction, you can turn right after about an hour and then climb directly over the dead ice of the Gurgeler Fern on the other side towards Ramolhaus, or take a branch back to Obergurgl. Total walking time approx. 8 hours with a good over 1,000 vertical meters. Link: komoot.de/tour/10811585

Beautiful hut, top-notch sanitary facilities, warm water at the sink, 1 minute shower costs 50 cents and the food is good too, if you're staying in the hut for several days the breakfast could be a bit more varied. Vodafone also has a great network in Italy. Rooms with sockets, but electricity is a bit scarce in the camp.
